Throw your own beer flight night!
Not only is this a great thing to do with a bunch of friends on a Friday night, it’s also great date night. In fact, this is a date night my fiance and myself do on a regular basis. Not to mention, it’s also a lot cheaper than going to the bar and having a few beers. In general a 6 pack of beer is going to cost like 15$ but buying 6 beers at the bar could cost you 50$ and you have to tip.
How to start?
First, you have to go out and get some beer! This is super easy and you can probably even figure it out 😉 But in all seriousness, 2 to 3 beers per person is usually a good place to start. This way you can split a variety of beers and everyone can have some fun tongue tingling enjoyment. And this can be a lot more fun with a good way to track which beers you like. For example, check out these beer flights:
Personalized Beer Flight: Have your own beer flight and engrave it with a name or a funny quote
Chalkboard Flight: This is the perfect flight to record your thoughts and rank your beers
Keep Your BEers Cold!
There are a ton of ways to do this. For example, you can just keep them in the fridge or you can keep them on ice. In my opinion, I would go down the ice route because you can keep them closer to you.
Finally the fun part (well almost)
This is the part that really kicks of throwing your own beer flight night! And that is Pouring! This is because you start tasting with your nose and your about to get hit with all the hoppy goodness 🙂
Take your time and slowly pour each one into the glass and take a whiff. Above all, take your time and enjoy it.
okay, now the fun part!
Finally, you get to taste the beers. But there is a little science to it, so listen up. You’ll want to start with the lightest beers and progressively work your way up the ranks to the darkest beers.
First you’ll want to start with your ambers or your lagers. Then, you’ll want to work your way through the IPAS and finally to the stouts and porters! In short you can now throw your own beer flight night
